Lemon Parm Blistered Green Beans
Ingredients:
1 lb (16oz) green beans, ends cut and sliced into desired size
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
1 lemon
1/3 cup fresh grated Parmigiano Reggiano
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
In a medium size skillet, heat the olive oil to high heat. Add in the green beans and spread out into one layer and let cook for about 2 minutes. Stir and repeat – lowering the heat to medium high if needed – until all the sides begin to blister
Add in the garlic and stir until fragrant. Zest the lemon and juice half (if large lemon or juice the whole lemon if small) and add the salt and pepper. Top with the Parmigiano Reggiano and more slices of lemon if desired and serve! Sahtein!
