Pumpkin Butter White Russian
Pumpkin butter white russian. Can you think of any better cocktail for Halloween and the fall season?
If you receive my weekly emails with my meal plans, you may have seen in the email that I’m thinking of incorporating more cocktails to the site for the holiday season. So that means pretty much October through December I’ll be seasonal drinks. I’m thinking of designating Friday for the drinks – we’ll call them Feel Good Fridays! I can think of no better way to commence Feel Good Fridays than with this pumpkin butter white russain.
Cocktail making is somewhat new territory for me, but I have tons of ideas that I’ve been testing out with friends and family. My last drink, this blackberry basil margarita, seemed to be a hit with you guys which made me so happy! The one change I think I’ll do is share recipes for 1 drink instead of 2.
This drink couldn’t be simpler. It’s filled with the coziness and spiciness we love about this season and a light sweetness from the pumpkin butter. 5 ingredients total is all you need. I’ll be completely honest though. I don’t always have half n half. So, for this I always use whole milk and heavy cream which are two things I tend to have on hand. I just mix up equal parts of both.
To make this pumpkin butter white russian,
just mix up some kahlua, vodka and pumpkin butter in a glass. No cocktail shaker needed here although you could definitely throw these ingredients in there with some ice to really get them combined well. I find a spoon does just fine – I like mixing them before adding ice.
Once you add the ice in, Work on mixing your half & half with the rest of the pumpkin butter to get a slight orangey color that really makes it feel like a fall cocktail. Add more or less based on your taste. Pour that right on top and sprinkle on some pumpkin pie spice. You could also add the pumpkin pie spice to the cream or the cocktail mixture as well, I just found that it didn’t mix in well when I did that.
Anyways, I know you’re going to love this super simple fall cocktail and I can’t wait to share more! Seasonal drinks like this one are so fun to make and I love the idea of incorporating ingredients we use a ton during this time of year. Yes a pumpkin pie is great, but why not use some of those special ingredients that you may have left over into an interesting seasonal drink!
