Holly Jolly Christmas Sangria
This Holly Jolly Christmas sangria is simple to put together an great for gatherings.
I love a good sangria. I posted this Thanksgiving sangria which had apples, apple butter and white wine. It was only fitting to make a red sangria for Christmas!
To make this Holly Jolly Christmas Sangria, you’ll need:
Red wine: Make sure it’s a dry wed wine and not sweet otherwise the final sangria will be too sweet. I used a pinot noir here.
Seasonal fruit juice: I use pomegranate juice because I love the flavor and it’s also in season. I also add pomegranate arils to the sangria so it works well. Cranberry juice would also work or a mix of both.
Orange liqueur and orange bitters: This adds a little Christmasy touch that I like. The orange bitters are optional but it’s hard to mimic that flavor and fragrance.
Seasonal fruit of choice: Of course I used oranges and pomegranate here, apples are also in season and I chose to use a green one to play on the Christmas colors.
I just know you’re going to love this. I can’t wait to sip on this tomorrow for Christmas!
